The reason for self-publishing Ba Ba Ha Ha is simple. The idea is to put a book in front of your child as early as possible. A special relationship to books, to reading, to simply turning pages and discovering is a gift each parent can easily give to their child. An enjoyable relationship with books can start just as soon as a child can focus on the busy world around him or her, and that relationship or love will usually last a life time.
There's more. There's also the warmth of connection between parent and child that a book creates. A book provides shared moments unlike any other. The book, you and your little one, are close to one-another, cuddled up on the sofa, or sharing laughs, or maybe first smiles on a sunny park bench. Nothing comes close to the closeness that a book creates.
By placing a book in front of your child early, you are sending many messages: This is important, this feels good, we are sharing something that we both understand and enjoy. There can be no doubt, your child will hear and respond to your messages.
